Description
B&W negative copied in 1990 from official albums then held at Grangemouth refinery.
These steam driven exhausters were probably at Deans oil works and drew the oil, gas and ammonia mixture produced in the retorts through the condensers and scrubbing equipment that separated and purified the various components. These two high speed exhausters were each driven directly by small steam turbines.
