Black and white group photograph of the West Lothian Education Authority dated October 1926.
Donor's grandfather is Robert Harper (1873-1929) and is 2nd from left in the middle row. He was a mining manager at Duddingston 1 & 2 pits and started working at Oakbank. He was injured in an explosion in Duddingston 1 or 2 pits in 1914. He was left deaf, lost one eye and was scarred. He lived for 15 years afterward and died of heart failure after getting the flu.
