Description
Black, embossed In Memoriam card for John Alexander Anderson who was killed on the Caledonian Railway branch line Cobbinshaw on 16th January 1903.
He was a teacher at Cobbinshaw Public School and was walking home to Tarbrax along the railway line when he was run down by a mineral train going into Tarbrax Works. Inside the card reads 'In Memoriam / In fond and loving remembrance of / our beloved son / John Alexander Anderson, / who died at Tarbrax, on 16th January, 1903 / aged 17 years. / to memory ever dear. / Upper Lawhead, Cobbinshaw.
