Description
Polished wooden instrument box with metal inserts and inscribed brass label that belonged to Iltyd Isaac Redwood.
The box is lockable with the key. Box contains a padded lid insert, with gilt Stanley 'by appointment' stamp; top lift-out drawer, felt lined, with indents for 15 drawing instruments - some with ivory handles - (all in place), all engraved with owners initials 'IIR'. Unlined bottom compartment with small section boxed off, contains magnifying glass, small field Winsor and Newton watercolour palette box, Stanley ceramic pot (probably used for water) and 2 quill brushes. Also, 2 slide rules and 1 ruler made of ivory (both initialled 'IIR'), 2 wooden sticks, 2 lead containers with leads, 1 broken ink stick and rubber.
