Description

Hailwood and Akroyd miner's safety lamp

Donor acquired from John Gilfeather (deceased) who worked as a lampman in Westwood pit after losing part of his leg when he was younger due to possibly an accident with a hutch. Lamp has a brass placque on the top with 'P9' embossed on it. On the top of the base 'I1' is embossed. C 1950
