Description
Copy of black and white photograph of general view of Deans Crude Oil Works, Livingston Station. The three 'Mond' gas producers seen in the centre supply gas to the retorts to supplement that provided by the retorts themselves. The tops of the retort benches are seen behind, to the right behind the cooler tower are the scrubbers and condensers, whilst to the left is the electrical power station for supplying power to the mines and works. The spent shals bing is seen in the background.
