Description
Duplicate Minute of Agreement between the Calder District Committee of the Midlothian County Council and Young's Paraffin Light and Mineral Oil Company Limited re crossing of the Ayr Road (no. 52 on list of Highways of the Calder District of Mid Lothian Council) and the Wilsontown Road ( no. 58 of the said list of highways) with a level crossing. The Minute of Agreement is dated 25 March and 1 April 1903 and signed by Robert McEwan and Sir Mattew Arthur Baronet, Directors of the Youngs Paraffin Light and Mineral Oil Company and James Edward Stoddart and Andrew Thomas Steele Scott, Members of the Calder District Committee. There is a plan attached "This is the Plan referred to in the foregoing Agreement" also signed by the above named showing the route of the mineral railway from Addiewell Oil Works to Burngrange and where it crosses the said roads. There is a scale showing 1inch=200feet.
