Obituary - After a short illness, the death occurred at his home on Monday of Mr John Ketchen, aged 68 years, 68 Calder Road, Bellsquarry. A bachelor, he spent most of his working life as a shale miner at Westwood Pit, and late worked a few years with Edinburgh Corporation. Latterly, in semi-retirement Mr Ketchen was well-known by the children and others who made use of the tennis and putting at Limefield Park, where he worked part-time, issuing tickets, etc. He was a quiet, unassuming man, who was respected by all who knew him. To his relatives we extend our sympathy.
