MINERALS TO BE LET. THE SEAMS COAL, IRONSTONE, and LIMESTONE, in the Lands of Redhouse. There are Two Seams of Coal —one between 3 and feet thick, and a Main Coal, 6 feet thick, with a parting in the middle of it. It is understood only the 4 feet Seam has yet been worked to a moderate depth by a Day Level; and the Pit which was last in use (18 fathoms deep) is still open. A Bed of Limestone, 6 to 8 feet thick, lies at a short distance above the 4 feet Coal, and may be worked open-cast or by mining. Redhouse is within two miles and a half of the Livingston Station of the Edinburgh and Bathgate Railway, and two miles and a half from East Whitburn Station. Offers to be given in to the Proprietrix, at Redhouse; or to John Geddes, Mining-Engineer, 5, Shandwick Place, Edinburgh. 4th April, 1851.
