An awkwardly place crossing of Greendykes Road (now B8020) with a single line of standard gauge rails. The line originally linked Broxburn Oil Works with Haycraigs, Carledubs, and Crossgreen pits. In Scottish Oils days, the crossing formed part of the route linking Hopetoun and Broxburn oil works.

"Crossings on Greendykes Road belonging to the Broxburn Oil Company ...... ( b) the other is at the top of the hill and serves the traffic of one pit only, so £2 would be sufficient."
