Crossing - Race Road

Opened:

  • Location map

The crossing over the Race Road, near Bathgate, belonging to the Balbardie Coal Coy. There is very considerable public traffic on this road and also a large amount of iron and coal, and as there are two crossings within about 50 yards of each other with only one man to attend to them the amount of public inconvenience in often excessive. £5 would be fair for this. Crossing over the Easton Road, also belonging to the Balbardie Coal Coy., which is the other referred to in the remarks on No. 4, but the traffic on the road here is not so much, and £3 would be fair for this.
